Living Inside Out Ministry
If we approach God with a preconceived idea of who He is, we may not get Truth. Let me give you an example. When we lived in Saudi Arabia, we often went to the Red Sea for recreation. This particular day we saw a guy with an authentic hot dog stand on the beach. It had the red umbrella, it was exactly what one would see in down town New York or Chicago. My husband stopped the jeep & approached the cart, requested 3 hot dogs & headed back. When he returned he had 3 small cups of garbanzo beans. I said, "That's not a hot dog!" Oh it all looked like the real thing but friend, when you've had the real you'll know the phony.
Luke 5: 1 - 11 gives us a clear example of Simon giving access of his boat to Jesus. We often want what verses 6 - 11 tells us without giving Jesus access to what we have. It doesn't work like that. If we want the catch that is so overwhelming, we must make an investment. Does Jesus have access to all that we have? Are we willing to let him use what we have with a trust & assurance that goes far beyond our reasoning? Want the big catch? Make the big investment.
The Bible tells us. As a man thinks in his heart so is he. Today, society teaches the opposite. If we're late, it's the traffic's fault. If we're broke it's our bosses fault. If we're sick it's because someone sneezed around us. All those are excuses. Personal integrity, personal responsibility, personal accountability, personal discipline are pushed aside today to make room for blaming everyone else for our shortfalls, rather than looking in the mirror & asking God, "What do I need to change?" Perhaps the first place is with my opening statement. We do become what we think in our heart we are. Think you're poor? You are. Have you programmed your subconscious mind to be late? Then you are. Change your mind, change your life.

Tithing has always been a misunderstood subject but here are some basic truths.
1. When we tithe we take our money out of the world system or the kingdom of darkness & place it in the Kingdom of God.
2. Tithing is an act of worship, thankfulness & acknowledgement that God is our Only Source.
3. The tithe the first 10% of all God gives us.
4. When we tithe, God causes the remaining 90% to go further than the 100% could've gone.
5. By tithing, we invite Jesus Christ to be involved in our financial affairs.
